The New Mexico Association of the Deaf (NMAD) is a state association affiliated with the National Association of the Deaf (NAD) and the local chapters across the State of New Mexico. It serves as an advocate for more than 250,000 deaf and hard of hearing people living in New Mexico. The NMAD is a non-profit state association operating independently of federal, state, and local. It is supported by a dedicated membership and others interested in the NMAD goals. Membership includes deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing people.
